We’re excited to recognize the outstanding work of Delta Manor! CUCS took over the transitional housing program last February and this is the first time that the Delta Manor, under any management, has ever hit its target for housing placement.

The Department of Homeless Services requires all shelters to meet a certain target of housing placements per quarter and at Delta Manor, that target is 16. For the final quarter of the year, the transitional housing program met 100% of its target by placing 16 homeless men into permanent housing. Several of them were Long Term Stayers (over 9 months in shelter) who had not received housing at other sites; all were struggling with various types of mental and physical illness.

“We are all very excited regarding the recent success,” says Greggory Mendenhall, Delta Manor’s Program Director, citing the dedicated staff behind it.
