Celebrating Summer with CUCS Families
July 18, 2019At the end of June, our family programs at The Sydelle and The Lenniger held carnivals to celebrate the end of the school year.
This was an exciting opportunity for families to come together as a community and start the summer with a splash. As a DJ pumped up the spirit, residents were treated to an array of fun activities, including face painting, balloon artistry, a photo booth, and even a magic show. Plus, attendees got to chow down on special carnival treats, from fresh cotton candy, popcorn, and snow cones to mouth-watering BBQ. Both days were filled with dancing, laughter, and tons of summer smiles.
Volunteers from the NYC Department of Corrections Disaster Relief Association helped set-up and serve food throughout the festivities. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and we are incredibly grateful for their hard work.
The carnivals were a blast, and there were so many adorable moments, we just had to share them with you.
