Toasting for a Cause with Raise New York!

On March 1st, CUCS’s Young Professionals Group (YPG) held their first happy hour fundraiser at Raise New York! The night was great opportunity for the group to introduce friends, family and colleagues to CUCS and raise money for our cause.

Raise New York is a self described “sports lounge with an eclectic menu,” located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. Their mission is to give back and serve the community by holding a variety of fundraising events throughout the year that raise money for great causes. The evening of March 1st was dedicated to CUCS.

Guests were greeted by a very excited CUCS crowd! Each guest was given a wristband to differentiate themselves from other patrons, where 20% of every purchase they made went towards CUCS.

Over 30 friends and colleagues came together that evening. Everyone learned more about CUCS, and the exciting developments in the works. YPG members handed out raffles and CUCS hand-made bags — which were a hit!

By the end of the night, the YPG happy hour raised over $350 just by having a drink with friends!

With the success of this event, the group is excited to continue executing exciting events that benefit CUCS. CUCS is also in the process of planning a month long partnership with Raise New York in July. The month will include happy hours, brunches and other fun events to help promote the incredible work CUCS does to help build brighter futures!
