Join the P2P Movement!

This past July marked CUCS’ 24th birthday! To celebrate, we created a peer-to-peer fundraising hub that makes it easy and fun to support our cause. We launched our birthday campaign and in the past four months have made incredible progress towards our goal of raising $50,000 by year end to build brighter futures. To celebrate our milestone of being over 65% of the way to our goal, we wanted to highlight our incredible campaigners for making this success possible!

The campaigns range in amount and purpose. Some are raising money for a specific program, while others are just looking to advance the cause.

Emily was one of our first P2P fundraisers. Every year, Emily’s parents bought turkeys to donate to local food banks on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. For what would have been her parent’s 25th wedding anniversary, Emily is on a mission to continue their tradition of giving and by sharing the love with CUCS.

Alex’s goal is to raise $20,000 and lose 20 pounds. Only two weeks into his campaign and he surpassed his fundraising goal. We are cheering him on as he continues to support us and work towards his wellness goal!

Don launched his campaign as a call to action urging people to help those in need. In light of the Jewish holidays, he urges people to remember their neighbors and lend a helping hand to those often overlooked. His goal is to raise $5,000 dollars in support of CUCS and so far has made fantastic progress!

Shoes are incredibly important for people coming off the streets and into housing so Mary launched her campaign to raise $1,000 to buy shoes for CUCS’ clients at The Kelly transitional housing program. She is halfway to her goal and with her help, every individual at The Kelly can receive a new pair of shoes.

Marisa started her campaign with a bit of influence from Game of Thrones. With winter quickly approaching, she is raising money to buy clients warm care packages. By raising $500, Marisa can help CUCS purchase socks, gloves, scarves and hats for the 90 women living at the Prospect Place transitional housing program.

Celeste wants to provide pet therapy sessions for CUCS clients. She is working to raise $500 for five sessions with some cuddly companions that can help reduce our clients’ stress and lift their spirits.

Amelia is asking her friends and family to sponsor her as she runs her first half marathon in November. She is asking people to pledge $13 for the 13 miles she runs and wants to raise $130 before running her race.

Our fundraisers have done incredible work reaching out to their networks and spreading the word about CUCS. We are inspired by each of them and excited to watch their campaigns progress. We invite you to join the movement and help us reach our goal in building brighter futures! Visit cucs.org/fundraise to start a campaign today.
