On July 18, 2025, Janian Medical Care hosted the inaugural NYC Street Psychiatry Conference, bringing together practitioners, peers, medical students, and program leaders to explore field-based, person-centered care for unhoused New Yorkers. Held at the East Harlem Tutorial Program, the day was filled with lively conversation, practical tools, and cross-sector collaboration.

From the moment attendees checked in and grabbed their coffee, there was a buzz—of long-overdue reunions, hallway introductions, and shared purpose. The conference wasn’t just informative; it was energizing. As one attendee put it: “I feel like I’ve found my people.”
