The Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) is pleased to announce that Alex Rose has been named Chairman of its Board of Directors. He joined the CUCS Board of Directors in 2014 and was elected Vice-Chair in 2015. Mr. Rose is assuming the helm from Julie Sandorf who served as Board Chair since 2009 and will remain on the board as Vice-Chair.
“It is an honor to assume the position of Chairman of CUCS’s Board of Directors. CUCS works to help people rise from poverty, exit homelessness, and be healthy, and I welcome the opportunity to continue to help this important organization strategically expand to help even more individuals and families,” said Mr. Rose.
Alex Rose is a partner at Crestview Partners, a middle market private equity firm based in New York, where he is co-head of the firm’s industrials strategy and a member of the investment committee. Prior to joining Crestview, Alex worked at General Electric Company and Goldman Sachs.
In addition to serving as Chairman of the Board of CUCS, Alex is currently a director of Accuride Corporation and JR Automation. Alex received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an A.B., cum laude, in government from Harvard College. He lives in New York City with his wife Lauren and their two children.
