CUCS Developing an Extended-Stay Residence in the Bronx |

 CUCS is halfway through construction of a 60-unit extended stay residence in the Crotona Park East section of the Bronx. The residence will help tenants prepare for and eventually access less service intensive forms of housing, including but not limited to supportive housing, scattered site apartment programs, and completely independent housing.

CUCS to Pilot Program to Improve Mental Health of Inmates at Three NY State Correctional Facilities |
|
Center for Urban Community Services together with the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and New York State Department of Correctional Services (DOCS) will introduce an evidence-based practice for persons with mental illness, known as Wellness Self Management (WSM) at three state correctional facilities including Bedford Hills, Fishkill and Sing Sing. The project will be funded by the Jacob and Valeria Langeloth Foundation.

On Monday, June 2nd, Norah Jones, the Ravi Coltrane Quartet and the Seamus Blake Quartet performed as part of Band Together - a musical benefit concert for CUCS. The evening was hosted by CBS' Maurice DuBois.
