CUCS' Career Network Wins National Award |

CUCS' Career Network has been selected as a recipient of the 2008 Science and Service Award from the United States Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The award recognizes exemplary implementation of evidence-based interventions that have been shown to prevent and/or treat mental illnesses and substance abuse. The Career Network was selected for successfully implementing an evidence-based practice known as Supported Employment at CUCS' supportive housing sites.

CUCS Developing an Extended-Stay Residence in the Bronx |
|
CUCS is halfway through construction of a 60-unit extended stay residence in the Crotona Park East section of the Bronx. The residence will help tenants prepare for and eventually access less service intensive forms of housing, including but not limited to supportive housing, scattered site apartment programs, and completely independent housing.
