Van Yu, M.D., Medical Director
Dr. Yu earned his M.D. at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and completed residency training at New York University Medical Center where he was a Chief Resident. Prior to joining PPOH in the spring of 2003 he was an Attending Psychiatrist and then Associate Director of the Bellevue Hospital Center Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center and a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Yu is also the Medical Director of the Center for Urban Community Services and the Manhattan Street Outreach and Housing Placement Consortium.
Dillon Euler, M.D., Assistant Medical Director for Education and Training
Dr. Euler earned his M.D. at Northwestern University Medical School where he was in the Honors Program in Medical Education and completed residency training at New York University Medical Center. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center and a Clinical Instructor at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Euler joined PPOH in August 2003.
Jill Maddox, M.D., Assistant Medical Director for Clinical Operations
Dr. Maddox earned her M.D. at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and completed residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center where she was a Chief Resident. She completed fellowship training in Community Psychiatry at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Public Psychiatry Fellowship doing her clinical placement with PPOH before joining PPOH as a staff psychiatrist in July 2007. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center.
Linda Bellama, M.D., Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Bellama graduated in the top 10% of her medical school class at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and was recognized as one of the top two residents in her residency class at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She completed fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry at East Carolina University and in Community Psychiatry at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Public Psychiatry Fellowship. Dr. Bellama became PPOH's first full-time staff psychiatrist in July 2001.
Matthew Holden, M.D., Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Holden earned his M.D. at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and completed residency training at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Holden was an Attending Psychiatrist at the Bellevue Hospital Center Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program while at the same time working as a part-time Staff Psychiatrist for the Center for Urban Community Services from 2003 to 2006. He became a full-time Staff Psychiatrist at PPOH in July 2006. He is a Clinical Instructor at New York University Medical Center.
Emily Stein, M.D., Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Stein earned her M.D. at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine and completed residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Zucker Hillside Hospital. She completed fellowship training in Community Psychiatry at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Public Psychiatry Fellowship doing her clinical placement with PPOH before joining PPOH as a staff psychiatrist in July 2008.
Anuj Gupta, M.D., Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Gupta earned his M.D. at the George Washington University School of Medicine, where he was in the Seven-Year Integrated BA/MD Program, and completed residency training at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He completed fellowship training in Forensic Psychiatry at the New York University Medical Center before joining PPOH in August 2008. He is a Clinical Instructor at New York University Medical Center.
Aviva Goldman, M.D., M.P.H., Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Goldman earned her M.D. at the Sackler School of Medicine and completed residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. Prior to entering medical school, Dr. Goldman earned a Masters of Public Health at George Washington University. She joined PPOH in July 2008.
Joanna Fried, M.D., Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Fried earned her M.D. at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed residency training at New York University Medical Center where she was a Chief Resident. She completed fellowship training in Community Psychiatry at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Public Psychiatry Fellowship doing her clinical placement with PPOH before joining PPOH as a staff psychiatrist in July 2010. She is a Clinical Instructor at New York University Medical Center.
Maria Yang, M.D., Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Yang earned her M.D. at the University of California Davis School of Medicine and completed residency training at the University of Washington School of Medicine where she was a Chief Resident. She completed fellowship training in Psychosomatic Medicine at the New York University Medical Center and in Community Psychiatry at New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Public Psychiatry Fellowship doing her placement at PPOH before joining PPOH as a staff psychiatrist in July 2010.
Anthony Carino, M.D. Staff Psychiatrist
Dr. Carino earned his M.D. at the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois and completed residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center where he was a Chief Resident. He completed fellowship training in Community Psychiatry at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Public Psychiatry Fellowship. Prior to joining PPOH in July 2010, Dr. Carino was the Associate Medical Director at Pathways to Housing in New York City. He is an Instructor in Clinical Psychiatry at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University.
Mona Jain, M.D. Public Psychiatry Fellow
Dr. Jain earned her M.D. at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine and completed residency training at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She is a Public Psychiatry Fellow at the New York State Psychiatric Institute/Columbia University Public Psychiatry Fellowship.
Ella Rhee, M.S. Assistant Program Director
Ms. Rhee earned a B.A. in Sociology at Wheaton College and her M.S. at the Columbia University School of Social Work. After completing her Masters, she was a Community Organizer at the CLSC Metro Clinic in Montreal, Quebec , before returning to New York City to be a Social Worker at CUCS. She then became a Program Analyst at Good Shepherd Services in New York City before returning to CUCS to become the Assistant Program Director of PPOH in 2008.
Abbey Nyamekye, M.S.W. Director of Program Operation
Ms. Nyamekye earned a Bachelor’s of Social Work at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and her M.S.W. at Hunter College of the City University of New York. She was a Family Support Specialist and then a Project Coordinator at CUCS prior to joining PPOH as an Assistant Program Director in 2004.
