New York City offers a range of housing, service and employment resources for people who are homeless and/or living with mental illness and other disabling conditions. But identifying these limited resources can be a daunting task.
To assist consumers and staff at other organizations in accessing these resources, CUCS’ Housing Resource Center operates numerous referral and placement programs.
These include, but are not limited to the following services:
Housing
- New York/New York I and II Referral Assistance Program connects homeless people with permanent housing
- Single Point of Access (SPOA) Housing Program connects individuals with mental illness to a full range of housing options
- Housing Vacancy Update
Case Management / ACT
- SPOA Case Management/ACT Program connects individuals with psychiatric disabilities to appropriate case management services
Employment Opportunities
- Our Jobs Journal provides a listing of jobs available to residents of supportive housing and persons with mental illness
If you are in need of services that are not offered here, please visit the Additional Resources section of our website.
