Opening Doors Across New York City

All over New York City we are helping individuals and families rise from poverty, exit homelessness, and be healthy.

Whitepaper: Reaching the Unreachable

This whitepaper introduces the CUCS Intensive Mobile Treatment (IMT) model which arose from a 2016 New York City initiative to engage individuals who were “falling through the cracks” of the mental health, housing, and criminal justice systems.

CUCS IMT’s strength can be seen in how it helps people change and grow over time by building trusting, therapeutic relationships. In outlining our model and its methodology, we hope to empower other practitioners to adapt IMT to other settings beyond the New York City area.

Daily News Op-Ed: Intensive Mobile Treatment Invests in Humanity

Intensive Mobile Treatment (IMT) is essential to the city’s plan to address homelessness. Unfortunately, IMT could be in danger of city-level cuts to the agencies and nonprofits that provide it. It is imperative to prioritize long-term solutions over short-term cuts. To address this, CUCS has written an informative op-ed to help New Yorkers understand the value of IMT.

Please take a moment to read this important op-ed.
