Everyone knows it takes more than a house to make a home. CUCS believes it takes more than a home to make a life. We help New York’s most vulnerable people find homes and rebuild their lives—particularly those struggling with mental illness, addiction and other disabilities.
That means we work with our clients each step of the way helping them with everything from getting a roof over their heads to making a doctor’s appointment to building job skills. We also help them to their long-term goals including a permanent home, quality healthcare, a career and community to support them.
And we’ve been successful enough times that we’ve made this a scientific process, with measurable steps along the way. CUCS directly helps more than 5,000 New Yorkers each year through the following programs and services:
Housing Services
Community-based Services
Employment Services
